| Everyone was confused when they first sent out Zoroark.
Anyway, for quick leveling up, either go to Victory Road and fight stuff, or go find a patch of non-dark grass (as in, grass that you cannot get wild double battles from). After that, cycle back and forth until a patch of grass rustles. There will either be a rare pokemon or an Audino inside. Audino are the best way to get experience in the game, best combined with your Lucky Egg. Try do this in the route with the highest level pokemon.
Note: If you must cycle in the grass (if there is no room outide it, for example), you can use a Repel and the grass (and Audino) will still appear.
How's that? | |

| I beat the elite four with these pokemanz:
Smugleaf Gigagear (Klinklang) Enfuego (Larvesta) Slippy (Seismitoad) Broodonkus (Archeops) Mienshao (no nickname, sadly)
I can't be bothered to record their levels, but they're all around 55 by now. When my larvesta evolves... I will pwn all with an iron fist. But of course, I'm not using this party for most of my battling. I'm going to make a better party, which will probably consist of all my favorite pokemon:
Swampert Swellow Dragonite Breloom Dewgong Metagross
You will notice that all of these pokemon are third-gen or below. That's partially because I couldn't find others to fill their niches, but also because the third gen is my fave. I compared Dragonite against other dragon types, but couldn't find anything that compares to its massive base 134 attack stat, which will do very well with Outrage.
And I also might have to make room for Volcarona as a special sweeper. Because I lurve it.

| Hmm, you seem the be quite the fighter. As I said before I don't care for their stats, only how they look and how high their friendship stat is.
Also, if I have a choice should I get HeartGold soon or wait until White goes down and get it?

| Gelo,
Only use Dragonite if you want a more defensive dragon (and even then, get your Dratini by trading with some guy with a Japanese version for a Dream World ability Dratini. Otherwise, Salamence is better, with much more speed, and, in Platinum, Heartgold and Soulsilver, still gets Outrage. Failing that, get a Garchomp, which has slightly less attack, but a tiny bit more speed and an immunity to Electric moves. You could even get a Hydreigon, who is slightly slower than the others (but still faster than Dragonite) and is more oriented towards special attacks rather than physical ines.
I'm not going to comment on the rest of the team, because I can tell it isn't really a serious team.

| Well, here is my team as of now (All of them high 30's, low 40's) Level 44 Bacon (My main attack powerhouse, however. It suffers lack luster defenses) Bacon's moves: Take Down Arm ThrustHeat smashFlamethrowerLevel 43 Stoner (My defensive wall, also has a great attack, but has terrible special stats. And I need to get my friend to evolve it for me) Stoner's Moves: Stealth RockRock SlideSandstorm Bulldoze Level 44 Small fry (He looks awesome and has great speed and attack, however. Defeatist kills it's chances of lasting in prolonged combat. Still a great addition to my team, though) Small Fry's Moves: Crunch AcrobatsFlyU-turnLevel 42 Junkie (Sets up Toxic and leech seed for my other pokemon, also is decent in terms of attack and defense, too) Junkie's Moves: ToxicAcrobatsVine whip (Yes, I need a better grass move) Leech SeedLevel 41 Charger (My "Speed freak" who I set up as a hit-and-run pokemon, mainly uses thunder wave to paralyze, then get off a discharge if possible, then uses volt switch to switch into a defensive wall or powerhouse to either tank or finish off said foe) Charger's Moves: Flame ChargeDischargeVolt SwitchThunder waveLevel 0 *No Nickname as of now* Still in egg form, but is about to hatch. Once I can make it useful, I'll give it a role in my team) Thank god for the Lucky egg, it made it possible to level up my Boldore 15 or so levels within 45 minutes. Moral of story: Use the lucky egg, kids. It makes life MUCH easier

In other news, I just caught Thundurus using one pokeball. o_o NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A DUSK BALL!

| Really? On the forum I usually go on everybody wanted Smugleaf (the Grass starter, that is what we called it) or the Pig. I was the only one who wanted Mijimaru.
I can't wait, after seeing Hutch's team I want it so bad. Although I will still be going by my usual way of collecting the Poke'mon I think look good.

| Actually, Tepig and it's evolved forms have a great HP, and good attack, but they suffer from low speed and rather bad defenses, and a terrible movepool (Even worse than Blazeikins) I had to put a LOT of effort into boosting Bacon's speed and defense to make sure it could take a hit. So unless you know exactly what you're doing, it can become more of a liability than pretty good starter. So I can see why some other people would go for smug leave or that otter thing that quite frankly scares me. But hey, it's a pig on fire. What more could you want?

| I chose Oshawott on my Japanese version, and Snivy on my English one. I never really got the appeal of Tepig. Anyway, I may as well share my team when I beat the game. Scolipede Lv. 47 Pretty good Toxic staller. Also my fastest team member, useful for when I need a way to kill fast, bulky stuff. Musharna Lv. 46 Can put stuff to sleep and Psybeam then. Not much else, really. Absolutelt devastating if evolved as soon as you get a moon stone. Also extremely bulky and able to take a hit. Simipour Lv. 49 With Grass Knot, Brick Break, Bite and Surf, this thing is fantastic. Rather than being situational like most of my team, it can destroy stuff with relative ease. Serperior Lv. 49 Leech Seed, Giga Drain. Also has Groth, but I rarely get to use it, though I did on the Final boss (PP stalled one of the most powerful pokemon in the game, became near-untouchable, got up about three or so growths, swept three of the foe's team before they finally decided to bring out something with Flamethrower). Emolga Lv. 45 I'm not even joking here. Hard to train (Acrobat is it's strongest move, but is weakened when it holds a Lucky Egg), but is absolutely devastating mid to late game. It became so overleveled at one point I had to stop using it at all. It was that good. Woobat Lv. 11 Well, it can fly... Didn't replace with the legendary because I wanted a certain natured one for EV training and stuff. Jolly Zekrom says Hi. I can't remember much about my Japanese Black, but I do remember I didn't use Reshiram, that I used an Excadrill that devastated half the game, and that I ended up swaping my Samurott with a Jellicent post-game, and it was so much better. It just seemed to have more of a defined purpose. | |

| Ooh! Fancy choices for teams. Here's my current team.
Auron-Servine Psifire-Victini Katlin-Liepard Barkeep-Herdior Randy-Smipour
They are near the level 30 stage. I'm not just traning them, I'm also training all my other caught pokemon to the same level and it's not easy. But hey I'll manage. ^^

| Uh, okay.
I just challenged the eleite four to train my lvl 42 Zoroark. So I went to challenge the psychic one first. Their pokemon only knew how to use Psychic. They acually were beaten by Zoroark alone. Weird. Let's challenge the other ones just for the sake of it.
I beat the Dark type one and the Ghosttype one with Samurott. Now let's challenge the Fighting one.
I managed to beat 3 of their pokemon, but by this time, Samurott's health wasn't looking very good. their Mienshao was just about to KO me with High Jump Kick... when it missed and KOed itself. xD
I also went on and caught Zekrom. (I only needed 2 ultra balls... is it just me, or are they really easy to catch in this game?!) And defeated N. Then came Genisis.
I was doing okay until he sent out his last pokemon, Hydreigon. He KOed nearly all my pokemon with Dragon Pulse. My only option was to keep reviving and switching pokemon untill he ran out of PP. Luckily, I sotcked up on revives before I challenged them. So after using about 16 of them, Hydreigon then started to use Fire Blast istead. This was my chance to heal everyone that I revived, and finished it off!
The End. C:

| God, the pokemon league is something fierce. I mean, my team is perfectly on par with the elite four, but it seems that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM HAS A SWEEPER.
So, looks like I'm going to need at least a five level advantage if I want to save all my full restores and revives...

| Level 50 seems like a reasonable level to go against the Elite 4 with. And the Elite 4 isn't the largest difficulty spike. Post-game, however, IS the largest difficulty spike. But I love the difficulty.
Also, anyone want to hear my team on my Japanese Black? I can't be bothered to put pictures here, I'm afraid.
Excadrill Lv. 82 or so. Hydreigon Lv. 100 Scrafty Lv. 100 Armaldo Lv. 100 Watchog Lv. 50ish Zoroark Lv. 100
Got my Zoroark off the GTS at level one, before breeding it and training that. It becomes absurdly easy to get level 100s in this game, with Audino at the Giant Chasm and the Elite 4's Round 2.

| Although I defeated them, I can help point out what pokemon you should be aware of, if you like. Dark type: Scrafty lvl 48 He's the pokemon you will first see when you battle Grimsley. it knows Crunch, Brick Break, Poison Jab and Sand-attack. It's ability lets it boost it's attck when it KOs one of your pokemon. However, due to it being a fighting/dark type, Fighting and Flying moves are super effective against it. Ghost type: Jellicent lvl 48 I personally didn't have TOO much trouble with this, but it did prove to be an interesting opponent. Knowing Energy Ball, Brine, Surf and Shadow Ball, it may be difficult if you use Ghost or Fire pokemon. Despite this, I managed to beat it with my Cofagrigus. Oh, and it's ability also has a chance of disabling your moves for a few turns when you hit it. Psychic type: Gothitelle lvl 50 This is Caitlin's final pokemon, which you would expect to only know Psychic moves. However, it also has a strong Thunderbolt attack, as well as knowing Psychic, Shadow Ball and Calm Mind. Luckily, it's Frisk ability doesn't give it any advantages. Fighting type: Conkeldurr lvl 48 This pokemon has a strange moveset: Hammer Arm, Grass Knot, Stone Edge and Retaliate. It may be unwise to use Water pokemon here, due to it's Grass knot move. It's ability somewhat increases it's attack. N: Archeops lvl 50 You're probably wondering why I didn't mention Zekrom or Reshiram. It's simple. Catch it's opposite. Use Dragonbreath. Profit. Anywho, the reason why I found this pokemon to be a bother is because of it's Attacks: Dragon Claw, Acrobatics, Stone Edge and Crunch. It is also Rock type, so using dragons here is a big no-no. Electricity would be helpful, however. Ghetsis: Seismitoad lvl 52 This thing was harder to take down than I thought it was going to be. It has a good ammount of Hp, and it keeps making it rain, acitvating it's Swift Swim ablility. It also has some interesting attacks: Muddy Water, Sludge Wave and Earthquake. Grass type would be very effective here. Hydreigon lvl 54 OH MY GOD OH MY GOD I HATED THIS THINGNot only does it have a very powerful Dragon Pulse attack, it knows Surf, Fire Blast and Focus Blast as well. I would reccomend Fighting or Ice here, as Dragon pokemon may seem like an obivous choice, don't try it without stocking up on revives. I hope this helps... | |

| I'm finally being able to crack the elite four, having a pokemon in my party that can basically sweep every member of the elite four, however. I'm pretty much out of full restores and I don't have enough money to restock on them. I agree with ferrety. It isn't much of a spike. But still, with my luck, the A.I gets a crit EVERY time I can't afford to sustain one.
Well, when in doubt. Get your party members up to level 60.
