The Grox War

"So which empire or race is it?"

As they entered the conference room, the admiral immediately began to speak. "I will cut to the chase. My race is dying. A plague is spreading throughout the empire, and we cannot find a cure. We have very little medical science, mainly owed to the fact that there are virtually no diseases that can overpower our immune system. This disease however, has been practically designed to kill Tegotians."

Lamentii continued to stare at Triex waiting for him to do something, she was ready to attack, Never break my flute or you will pay She thought as her eyes narrowed.

"hmm... we Dark leechs had something simler a couple weeks before the mission started, we took it out quickly though" Naboo9 said

Razorator rubbed his chin. Triex also butted in to the conversation.

"...how did this plague start? Did somebody spread it.. or something." asked Triex.

Fravini turned around. "Hey, go to the cafeteria." she said to Lamentii.

Ink, distracted up to this point by everyone else's antics, noticed Razorator for the first time, and did a double-take.

As the Admiral spoke, Ink hissed at Razorator; "What are you even doing outside of a holding cell? Did everyone just forget that you killed at least three of the crew and then came after me?!"

"What, now?"

"Unfortunately, we use an advanced system of transporting our people between planets, one that allows people to move from planet to planet in a matter of seconds. Nearly three hundred million people were infected with this disease in a matter of days," said the admiral. "After we captured a Grox cruiser passing near our space, we found a database log that confirmed our fears."

Razorator gave a cocky grin.

"I killed five." corrected Razorator. Triex turned to Ink.

"Look, he's been tricked by somebody and now he's helping us. I trust him. And I trust my judgement. If he does anything wrong... I'll take him back to Nestax-II." said Triex.

"This is just like captain school, go to the cafeteria your not old enough to do stuff, blah blah,"

Lamentii stormed of but in a few seconds later she screamed in delight, "Broccoli!"

"interesting... we dark leech saw a grox ship exit the atmosphere of Narcona a mere hour before the illness outbrake happened" said Naboo9

Razorator stepped foward.

"A Grox ship? I don't think a mere starcraft can spread this." said Razorator.

((To Triex)) "You'll be taking him back in several pieces if he comes near me," Ink replied venomously.

Naboo9 turned in his seat to face Razorator "what I think is that they infected our main food sources then when we ate them we were infected" he replied

"We confirmed that this disease is genetically engineered by the Grox, and is engineered to adapt to virtually any drug. It's as if they engineered the virus to have a mind of its own. It kills in mere hours after infection, and spreads through the air."

The admiral took a portable hologram projector and placed it on the table. A hologram of the galaxy appeared and a small blip appeared near the center. "We have, however, identified the planet that has all information on the virus, including a cure, in case they ended up infecting themselves by accident." The hologram zoomed into the galaxy and a planet was projected. "There is a catch, however ..."

"tell me the catch, I love catches" Naboo9 replied sarcasticly

"This planet," the admiral hesitated for a moment. "Is the Grox homeworld."

Razorator asked out of curiousity.

"What's the population and power of the planet? Maybe we can take them out with the Eliminator."

"We have no idea of the population, but there are at least one thousand ships in orbit of the planet at any time," the admiral replied. "There's no way the Eliminator alone is going to be able to breach their defenses."

Naboo9 rasied an eyebrow "that's the catch, I thought I would be more along the lines of an unnesarlly long dragged-out plan insted of heading to a planet and Ransacking it for the information" he said, adjusting himself "I'll send a message to the War fleet to join us after the confrence"

"My Grox implants have exact coordinates from this ship the the Grox homeworld. The Grox built it in to sense enemy ships, so I could alert them, but now that I'm on this side I can help guide this ship. Just to let you know." Fravini informed them.

Lamentii munched on her broccoli, when she over heard information about Grox. What's so important about the Grox? It's just another empire, maybe they'll be my friends! Lamentii sat listening still and munching quietly on a piece of broccoli.
