Pokemon Thread

Yeah, I have Pansear, Oshawott, Lillipup, Patrat (only because there nothing else here to catch) and Purrloin.

EDIT; as for the Gamepak, I have one of those packs you carry DS Gamepaks in, and I accidentally left it open while walking and it fell out without me knowing. When I came back the next day the Gamepak was smashed and the back casing was torn off.

The only thing I can think of is to move forward in the game. And that story isn't nearly as dramatic as I imagined.

I absolutely loved PMD Explorers of Time. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm enjoying every second. I had to try a couple times to get Cyndaquil as my player and Bulbasaur as my partner, but it was well worth it. I'm at the part where you have to beat the entire guild in a boss battle, so don't spoil anything for me.

I'd also reccomend the original, FAR more challenging, and the music and plot in my opinion is stronger.

Also, The explorers of time and darkness have a disappointing lack of Deoxys. He shows up, but encountering him and recruiting him is just strange. In the original, he had his own dungeon. And was much more "pronounced"

They made up for that with the surprising presence of Darkrai. Then giving him the same odd way of recruiting him, if I remember correctly.

They did, I have no idea why. Though. I prefer the original because they gave pretty much every legendary a part in the plot, in the main quest and after the main part of the game. Jirachi, Deoxys, mewtwo, Lugia, all those guys and more got their own dungeons that provided a HUGE challenge, but also made recruitment easier.

Now most of the legendaries are just side things that you can find randomly wandering around dungeons, IF you have the right item.

Nah, I'd rather spend an hour on a 99 floor water dungeon with my fire type character (I was selected as a charmander) and face an epic-ish boss fight with a legendary than wander around and hope I get lucky.

They did that for mew, but I didn't like mew much anyway.

What's the best move choices for Zekrom and Reshieram? I need some idea and thanks.

Could this mean that Entei, Raikou and Suicune were going to be in the 3rd gen games? o_o
(Also, what's your favourite out of the three? Mine's Raikou.)

I like Entei the best, just for its design.

In my opinion, the 3rd gen games were the best ones for so many reasons, good story, excellent music, and some pretty good pokemon (If it spawned metagross and deoxys, it must be a good game, right?)

I never really liked these legendarily much, kind of a generic compared to the other legendaries that were brought to the table, but the theme is still VERY good.

I couldn't agree more. On top of all this, the third gen games have nostalgic value for many people (including me) because it's the game we grew up with.

You both read my mind. Unfortunatly every time I get my hands on an emerald game it breaks in someway(Overheats, battery dies, ect) .Luckily my current one has lasted a while, so im hoping....

I agree, 3rd Gen is the best. Although I don't get any nostalgia from it because I started playing Poke'mon in Gen IV.

Anyway, as for the three beasts, my favorite is Raikou (for it's design).

I never played third gen, I only played Fire Red, Diamond, Platinum and Black.

Fire Red is third gen.

Oh.. I didn't beat it though..

It's really not that hard...

Anyway, you should consider getting Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald. They're old, so you can probably get them really cheap. Also, if you have the 3DS Ambassador Program, they're using a bunch of GBA games, so you might be able to get it on your 3DS if they have it.

The third gen is my favorite as well, I guess I'm not alone!

But seriously I was playing emerald still a few months ago until I got stuck on the twins X3

The only game I've legitimately won is LeafGreen. Although, I would've won Pearl after awhile without Gameshark.

Stares in awe at the awesome power of person who found shiny.

Emerald was the first video game I ever got, I was to little to read so I stumbled almost to the elite four but couldn't find the sky pillar A few years ago my cousin showed my how to make bases and mod in (mod in?) pokemon, and while I was a sleep found sky piller and stopped the stormy thingy, I restarted my game a few months ago and rage quite because I'm to lazy to grind my pokemon to beat the twins. There are just so many great mechanics I can't wait untill they remake it (they remade red, made a new game, remade gold, made a new game, next they will remake ruby/sapphire/emerald)

Plus the're some great legal glitches,
for one I heard if you're starter is shiny it makes it easier to find shinies, (not a glitch just killing people with awesome)
Using a certain berry you can make the only pokemon faint you can force an egg to fight....
