Nope, nope, and that last guess would imply past tense for the riddle.

It's charcoal. It's black when you take it out of the bag. Its glows red when you use it, and it turns to white ashes when you've used it.

You get it in the forest, you sit down to seek it, and you go home with it because you couldn't find it. What is it?

Hmm, that was a really tough one but it kind of got easy to understand at the end.

Here is a pretty easy one...

A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."

The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.

In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

I thought he'd just write 9.8N on the paper. That's the weight of everything on the surface of the Earth.

Good lord, that could not be more incorrect

9.8 meter/sec is the approximate acceleration of gravity on the earth. It's not even measured in Newtons. Weight is just the force of gravity, so you have to multiply the mass of the kid times the acceleration of gravity in order to find his weight.

Oh yeah. Long time out of physics class.
