So far, best picture I've drawn of one of my characters. It's for an assignment but I've spent so much time on it that I'm just done with it. Pokeball needs to be coloured black but I can do that later.

That is my quick doodle of a character I thought of today. He's a Super Shredding Robot named Wolfgang. He can't talk and has a screen for a face, which exclusively displays one symbol and nothing else.

Alright, so this is sort of breaking the trend here by not posting a picture but it seems somewhat relevant. I rarely finish stuff I start and I finished a short story the other day, so I figured I'd share it.

Cassius Snyder possessed the extraordinary ability to perfectly imitate, from mannerisms to appearance, any stranger he should fancy. Mr. Snyder was an unremarkable specimen otherwise; neither particularly striking nor possessing an entirely blank set of features. Even so, his own set of features were not very important, as most of his life up to this point had been spent wearing others' faces.

While later in life Mr. Snyder could so perfectly transform into an individual that he himself would, at times, question whether he were the genuine article, he began with cruder approximations. He would take on the same frustrating habit of not bothering to announce his arrival upon returning home, and the same charming practice of starting to stand up when she arrived at the table. Add to this a narrowing of the noise, a droopier mouth, and even to the man's own wife, Mr. Snyder would be indistinguishable. Such simple alterations as these required little effort.

And so, he drifted through life. Whether it was the possessions, trust, love, or friendship of strangers, he could take it with relative ease. Eventually, Mr. Snyder began to feel somewhat disinterested. He would become a stranger, only to drop the mask half way through.

From police record and personal accounts, it appears that after each shameful conclusion he would isolate himself, only to return with a new vigor to lose himelf in their lives again. There are several individuals who recall having conversations with him about the purpose of his life. Many remark that Mr. Snyder claimed to have lost his sense of self, said they themselves saw no reason to doubt this.

I don't know whether Cassius doesn't understand why he's locked up, or whether he understands and just doesn't think it's a good enough reason, but he likes to complain about it a lot.  He whines about how I stopped him from doing what he wanted. He seems to really hate being called 'Cash', which is funny for a guy who regularly claims not to care about anything. Perhaps it's affecting his psychiatry sessions, but I like to call him that just to piss him off.

After I pulled him off the bridge that night last week, he had seemed relieved. Still, he stubbornly holds that he would've jumped if I hadn't leapt out the squad car and yanked him inside by force. He likes to say it with the utmost gravity, but this is probably just because he knows that I know that even if he couldn't find a single thing he desired that night but a purpose, it was enough to make him hesitate.

He thinks it's absurd.
I think it's great.
