I'm currently in the works of a fairly new, four-part adventure series, Eden, and I'm looking for a little feedback/ 1st impressions on how you guys think the series will go. Here's the backstory:
In the fairly distant future, humans have spread beyond the confines of the Sol system to colonize many worlds. Initial contact with alien life was tense; humans were self-righteous and imperialistic, traits that did not bode well with their neighboors. Nonetheless, humans continued to encroach on alien space and colonized nearly 100 planets in systems as far as Delta Pavonis, 20 light years from Sol. Humans preoccupied themselves with mining highly valuable rhodium ore and the militarization of mining colonies and outposts.
Despite a fairly successful rhodium trade and a notorious reputation throughout the galaxy, humans had never developed a viable method of terraforming their worlds to increase production and alleviate overpopulation. Other empires were far less than eager to share their terraforming technology, so humans attempted to develop their own method, codenamed: Projet SoL. Decades of failed attempts would lead the humans' quest for terraforming technology to its silent climax on a seemingly innocuous world: A-3, or the "Dustbowl" in the Altair system...
