| Does anyone know of a way to erase everything in my Spore galaxy (games, destroyed planets, NPC empires, etc) and have it all start over, without losing or affecting any of my creations? | |

| [I MIGHT be reading this wrong, but...]
Sorry, but I can't think of anything except for deleting your save files and restarting with your same creations. on a different Homeworld.

| As long as you're using the same computer, then all your unshared creations should be saves in your "My Spore Creations" folder. Then, if you reinstall Spore, all the creations should still be there. The folder doesn't get deleted when you uninstall Spore. The only time it wouldn't save your creations is if you move to a different computer where your "My Spore Creations" folder isn't saved on the hard drive.
I've never tried this before, so I may not be right. But it sounds about right.

| Some people seem to be misunderstanding me. Here's what I mean:
When you first installed Spore for the first time, your Galaxy was untouched by you. No planets had yet been destroyed, all your games (deleted and otherwise) didn't extist, etc. I want to find a way to get it back to that state, but not lose anything else in the process.
What if I switched to a different computer, but copied the "My Spore Creations" folder to the new version? Would that work?

| You mean you don't want to delete anything, but you want a second galaxy anyway?
I think if you move to a different computer and take along your "My Spore Creations" folder, it won't take the saved games with it. So you start with no games.

| Oh, in that case, just uninstall Spore and re-install. As Gelo said, Copy and paste your My Creations folder into a safe place so that you keep all of your creations. | |

| If you out in things to the My Spore Creations folder, they'll be added to you game under your username, but they might not show up under My Creations. It was like that fo me when I accidentally removed the folder and put it back into place. | |

| Can't you just delete the saved games? You keep all of your stuff without leaving the game, and all the things you wanted gone are gone. Click on a save game and press the red garbage bin icon. | |

| Deleting a saved game only turns it into a CPU empire. Everything will still be there - colonies, terraformed planets, destroyed/monolithed empires, etc.
I want to return my galaxy to factory settings: exactly as it was before I started my first game.

| Ah, right. In that case, you should look in the folder for the saved data. This folder contains the progress of saved games, planet names, etc, but more importantly, a file called 'editorsaves'. This could be different on Mac, but I deduce that it records what creations were made by you like ranked captains and other creations. You may want to keep this one file so all creations you reload into the My Creations folder (if you reinstall) will appear in the My Creations tab in the game. I reinstalled without the saved data and I had to edit and save all the creations I wanted to keep in the My creations tab.
Hoped that helped. | |

| Thank you, but there's one problem: I can't reinstall GA. It always freezes when it starts installing file 14/19. "Six minutes remaining..." I checked back four hours later; nothing had changed. | |
