There's no shame in that. They did an incredible job with that finale.

Although I already uploaded this on the MC Discussion, I believe that this has GOT to be in the Doctor Who thread.

Cool Dark. Hope I like him too. I'm not sure how he can beat the 10th Doctor but I'm waiting to see.

Sorry for the double post. I just watched part 2. I didn't cry, but towards the end I felt teary. Goodbye David Tennant...I like how The Doctor got to help out everyone in the end. I do like how the 11th Doctor got to introduce himself. I also hope I like the next season. It should be interesting...

Anyone saw the new Doctor Who Christmas special this year? It was a little okay but it's not good as last years. The only bit I liked personaly was when the Doctor noticed he is tearing up a little and realized he might have some emotions after all.

I'd have to agree with you Shard, I was very disappointed with the Christmas special. The monsters weren't even as scary as I'd thought they'd be.

I don't think they even look the type to be known as monsters. Fantasy trees I understand as they can be scary (example evil tree from the dragon quest games) or peaceful (example Great Deku Tree from the Zelda games). The Doctor who's trees aren't scary which is a pity. :/

My DW update: I'm going to watch The Pandorica Opens Tonight, then Later I'll watch the Big Bang. I'm so close to series 6! When I get through that though, It'll be Series 7 and I don't get BBC, so I won't know what to do then. Anyway, for the third night of Hanukkah I got an 11th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver, and for the 5th night I got a Desk Patrol Dalek. My Cats are curious about them both. Lol...Unrelated to DW, I also got a beanbag.
So no, I haven't seen the Christmas Special. I'm in series 5. PANDORICA TIME!

Very nice, I also got the 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver, it never left my hand all day! And the 2011 Doctor Who Christmas special was very good, Moffat did a good job this year.

I've just found Doctor Who. Then I lost it. Now I will search for every season on DVD! If not, I can reverse the polarity and hopefully be able to find it again.

I can't believe how far I've come in this series. My next episode will be "The God Complex" so I'm very close to the end of series 6. I don't get any type of BBC so I don't really know what I'll do after finishing...
Anyway, my comments on series 6 so far:
1) TIME. TURNING. RIVER. AMY. DEATH. CONFUSION. WHAT THE HECK. HORROR. 2) To be more specific, it's weird to see the entire timeline meeting up, with River and the Doctor, and such. 3) Oh my god, the whole truth with Amy Rory River and stuff, just so weird... 4) The doctor and the silence...the astronaut...regeneration...I'm just so confused. But seriously, I don't know what those writers are doing, the doctor can't die! They must be great writers if they can come up with a solution. 5) About the writers. I'm not saying Steven Moffat is bad at all, but I liked Russel T. Davies a lot and now the new writers have turned the show into something like a horror movie, I still love Doctor though, I'm just saying that the horror aspect wasn't what the show was meant for in my opinion.
A few other things I thought I'd say: 1) David Tennant was my favorite Doctor, but Matt Smith is doing OK 2) My favorite companion would be either Rose or Amy, but really all of the ones I've seen were good. 3) I can play "All the Strange Creatures" on piano, I figured it out without looking up the notes, same with the theme song.
EDIT: Coming in may: Doctor Who meets Star Trek TNG in a comic book. For real.

Don't worry Lazer, when you get to the season finale it ALL makes sense, my mind was blown by the end of series six.
And I have a confession to make, even though I say David Tennant was the Doctor, and if the Doctor was a real person David T. would be it, I personally like Matt Smith the best.

K So... On the 20th of February, they began filming for Series 7. Any thoughts on what you think will happen in Series 7? Oh, and Amy and Rory will be leaving in that season. :/

Sweet. I hate Amy. Rory is fine, but Amy is so annoying.

I've finished Series 6 a while ago, so I ended with "Doctor Who?" as pretty much the last thing I heard. Now the problem is that I don't have BBC and Netflix takes forever to get the episodes. Any ideas?

Move to Britain and/or invent a time machine?
...Well I suppose there are a couple of spin-off shows around; Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. One of these is lighter in tone than Doctor Who while the other is way darker and often contains mature content. I'll leave your to suss out which is which.
