Wii 2? (a.k.a. Nintendo is at it again)

You know who I want in SSB?

Rayman.
He was my FAVOURITE character when I was little, plus his moveset would be easy to think up.
B = Throw Fist
B+Right = Spin (Similar to ROB's spin move, I suppose)
B+Up = Helicopter Hair
B+Down = Face Pull (I dunno, This counted as one of Rayman's powers for some reason. Maybe it freezes enemies?)
Final Smash = Summon Rabbids/Lums (I prefer the latter, but Ubisoft's kinda gotten rid of the old Rayman series and replaced them with Rabbids. Urgh.)

Just found out that the new Wii console is going to be called Wii U. Also there is definitly a new STARFOX and SUPER SMASH BROTHERS game coming out soon! I'm so psyched about the new games anyway! ^^

The Smash Brothers isn't being developed now, though. It'll start after Kid Icarus: Uprising is released. And the Starfox game is a remake of the N64 one. I'm personally excited for the new Mario Kart.

A remake of Starfox 64? I'd buy it. Nintendo is known for treating its remakes of its classic games well. I.E. Mario 25th Anniversary Collection.

It's for the 3DS. Out in America in September. I'd probably get it as well, probably because I never really got a chance to play many N64 games.

ARGH. Stupid 3DS. I also heard that they're making Ocarina of Time for 3DS. I have both of those games on my Wii, though, so I don't need them.

And I'm pretty sure that the 25th anniversary Mario is just Super Mario All-stars for Wii.

Actually it's a collection of the NES-SNES mario titles revamped with better graphics. It even includes Super Mario: the Lost Levels.

As for the 3DS, gamestop allows you to shave off part of the payment if you trade in a DS, DS lite, DS XL, or DSi towards the 3DS. Works well for people like me who upgrade every now and then.

My first nintendo handheld was a Game Boy Colour, then I got a GBA, then an SP, a DS lite...DS lite broke, and it took too long to get replaced (the black DS lites went out of stock) so instead I got a DSi for free. Not joking.

Yes, that's exactly what Super Mario All Stars is. Including the lost levels. They just made it playable for Wii. If you get Super Mario All Stars for SNES, chances are it's going to be the exact same thing.

As for the trading in thing, that's good news for me. I have a red DS that I've owned ever since they first came out, and lo and behold, it still works. It sometimes take a few tries for it to read the chip, but it plays just fine. I can get rid of that old thing and shave off a bit for a 3DS. Not that I'll have enough money anyway, but it's a nice thought.

Nintendo's New Home Console Revealed

While it's not directly Pokémon related, Nintendo has fully announced their next home console, the Nintendo Wii U. This console is the follow up to the Wii and as such, future home-console Pokémon games shall appear on this platform. It comes with controllers with 6 inch screen on it with touch screen abilities, camera abilities and the ability to play on the controller when the TV is not on, and is set to launch in 2012. It has high definition graphics on the main console unit, which has yet to be revealed

I only just get the normal Wii and they come out with this?

On the subject of new games, I'd like to see another 3D Kirby game, or maybe a sequel to Croc 2 (however, the Croc franchise is kind of dead so I kind of doubt they'll come out with a sequel).

(Because that's what it looks like to me. A Playstation controller merged with an Ipad.)

I guess some people don't like the D-pad.

I like D-pad. I wonder why they ever found the need to add analog sticks to the new portable games.

Maybe the dual analog is for better camera control?

You have to admit an analog stick functions much better than shoulder buttons when it comes to moving the camera.

Could it be? Are handhelds finally breaking the bonds that the home consoles have clamped to them? Are they finally going to murder the seats of power in videogame land? Have they finally crawled out of the pool of mediocrity and gimmicky features and are now bound on becoming powerful systems with a good graphic setup?

You could say yes, but now they seem to be getting larger than a southerner in Mcdonalds and becoming more unsightly than a puddle of vomit... Can't have everything, I guess.

The Wii U will fail. Theres nothing too special about it. Its not a game changer like they claim it is. Like all their other consoles.
