| Spinarak is rare in LeafGreen, but common in FireRed. And Spinarak is the Shiny Poke'mon I [s]want[/s] must have. Somehow I must get it... somehow...
NOOO, I must get Ekans! Ekans is in FireRed! EEEEKKAAANS..
However, I am glad I got LeafGreen, because FireRed doesn't have Bellsproutz, and BELLSPROUT ROCKS.

I am saying. I want a Shiny Spinarak, it takes hours for a Spinarak to appear in LeafGreen, however in FireRed they are everywhere. It would take me years to find a Shiny Spinarak in LeafGreen (no kidding).

| Do you wanna know a secret about my shinies?
The only times they've acually appeared for me is when I was NOT trying to get them. They just appeared naturally. Not through specific breeding/movement patterns/other techniques that don't work.

| Litwik is pretty cool, I wonder if he is a relative of Bellsprout? It would explain his awesomeness.
Anyway, my favorite V Gen Poke'mon are probably either Mandibuzz, Sandile and it's evolutions or Galvantula.

| Purrloin as awesome too. Although, due to my sudden obsession over Spiders Galvantula is my fav, but I also like Crocodiles and have longed for a Vulture-Poke'mon for awhile... | |

| Uhh, dudes, you don't know how shinies work. Transfer a shiny from Gen. 3 to Gen. IV and V and it will stay shiny. The way shinies were generated was different in Gen. II, but you can't transfer from there anyway.
As for methods of getting shinies, there are ways. You can manipulate the game's PRNG (Pseudo-Random Number Generator) to generate a shiny, but that requires lots of maths and stuff, and some people think of it as cheating. Also, putting a pokemon in the day care with a pokemon both from a different country and a different language improves your chance of getting a shiny egg from about 1 in 8000 to about 1 in 2000. Still a huge number, but slightly more managable.
As for my shinies, I had an Oddish, but the game was deleted. Yeah...

| Fools. You don't look for shinies. That's just impossible. There's a 1 in 8,192 chance of finding one in the wild, and this doesn't guarantee that after 8,191 battles, you'll find a shiny. It's just a probability. You just have to play the game without looking for a shiny, and you'll be lucky if you find one at all. I've only ever caught two shinies, one was a Weedle, and one was a Roselia that I still have. And then there's the shiny Koffing that selfdestructed on me, but I don't like to talk about that.
If you do a long chain with the Pokeradar in Diamond, pearl, or Platinum, then your chance of finding a shiny increases dramatically as you keep going, but you have to do it a ton of times and it's not really worth the effort and I don't really understand how it works.

| Finding shinies would be easier if we had an improbability generator. | |

| I am never going to get a shiny if you don't look for one. I rarely go on Poke'mon. I guess I'll just not even think of shinies. (Although, I am a great Bulbasaur breeder...) | |

| I like Reshiram. Unique type, and nice design. However, I wish they would go back to the good ol' days when there were only a handful of legendaries instead of the entire bottom of the Pokedex being filled with them. Anybody remember back in the first generation, when there were only Mew, Mewtwo, and the legendary birds? Why don't they make it like that anymore? Fourth gen was when it really got out of hand... | |

| There are lots of legendaries because people want more to do after they've finished the game. If they stayed at four per generation we'd be getting very bored very quick. | |
