Unfortunately, the Minecraft Folder won't show up anywhere, so you'll need to follow some very complicated steps.

1: go into your folder options and make hidden files visible. (I can't remember for the life of me where this is, so keep looking till you find it I guess.)
2: go into the Downloads folder or where ever the minecraft files are, and delete every file except for the saves.
3: re-open Minecraft to re-install.

And, sky, because everyone else has posted PC instructions, these are instructions for the small chance you're on a Mac:

1. Open up finder and click mouse over "go" and click "home."
2. From that window navigate as such: Library... Application support... Minecraft... Bin.
3. Once in the bin find minecraft.jar and delete it.
4. Open up minecraft.
5. After logging in it will re-download minecraft.jar as if you're getting an update.

Congratulations! You have successfully reinstalled minecraft (on a Mac!)

i had mac instructions... at least tey work on MY mac.

Guys many of you say that weather is hard to find. On my server its really rainy. It rains 2-4 times a day.

odd. i have not encountered weater yet. it pisseds me off.

You should explore more then! It never rains and or snows at my base.
