That is essentially what I had in mind, but just moved around a bit. Perhaps so that some of the patterns are on the other side of the sig and the sun/moon on the forward side of the new render.

Are you close at all?

Once I start these things they're done in the same day in all but the rarest of cases, so whether or not I'm close is sorta a moot point. I haven't forgotten about your request.

Since this is my first non-Spore render I've thrown at you, I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for. Does the background need to be transparent, or is it something else entirely?

Yes, transparency is what is needed in a render. Hence .png's are the ideal format for them to come in.
