Looks like we're going for round four of Terraria this week.

How long do these usually last?

Generally people hang around on Terraria long after the end of the allotted slot, but the idea is for it to run between 10pm and 0.30am GMT (check the widget in the OP or use google to convert to your local time), so that's 2 and a half hours.

Today I mastered the full power of the holy artifact known otherwise as the Dirt Rod.

For the benefit of those who aren't in the Skype group: StarMade is a Minecraft clone IN SPACE, with a focus on building and flying spacecraft. It's currently still in development but can be downloaded for free via a link on their Greenlight page, and it's pretty fun. The Yogscast have played it:

I can confirm that Starmade is pretty fun on multiplayer, even in it's alpha state.

So if Starmade wins for this week (which it looks like it is), I might actually be able to join you guys, provided my schedule isn't full with something. It looks like a pretty fun game, despite being an obvious Minecraft clone (srsly, the exact same tree designs...) Hopefully I can join you guys; it's been far too long since I last played a multiplayer game with you all.

Yeah, a while after writing that I realized the only things that made it similar to Minecraft are the fact that it's voxel-based (as Cube World has shown us, that doesn't make it Minecraft) and the indentical tree designs. Definitely has some core dfferences in its underlying concepts. Sorry 'bout that!

So Starmade's not on the cards, but will you not be able to start up the Terraria server in advance either?

If not, we should start to look at alternatives: Left 4 Dead 2 and Sonic All-Stars Racing are currently on free weekends on Steam, if anyone would like to express an interest. Otherwise we could default to TF2.

Edit: Unless anyone else would like to come up with a Minecraft or Terraria server (though I don't think it'd even be much fun to start a new world from scratch on Terraria) we'll just do some TF2 instead.

Well, things didn't really come together last night, which is perhaps unsurprising for a few reasons. In any case, I think I'll return to keeping the voting deadline on Thursday, so everyone at least has enough notice.

Sorry I wasn't able to respond to this las time. If we wind up going to Terraria this game night, unless Tala is able to, I can host a server using the one I currently have in-game.

Edit: Or I could make a brand new one; we could see just how overpower our equipment is .
