The lighting is incredibly bugged for me in the newest pre-release. The game crashes frequently too.

You can use sticky pistons and lightstone one block above the roof for a similar effect, anyway. I want a light SENSOR that powers when there's light.

Shpeaking of redstone lanterns...
I downloaded the snapshot and wired my basement up with four of them, turned on by a switch. And yes, they all turn on at the same time.

I had to use six repeaters to get the timing right, all set at different tick-values.
As of now, I haven't had issues with the snapshot crashing my game.

I don't know if you've noticed, but you can actually make other things than houses in Minecraft. ._.

So I found an awesome server the other day. The ones of you that read the MCF news probably already know this, since it was in the community spotlight, but I thought I'd post it here anyway.
It's a prison server. You work to get money to buy items and proceed to better prison blocks. I think it's alot of fun, but if you don't like servers with hundreds of players online at the same time, this might not be for you. That was all, bye.

I play on Craig's Flatland server. It's REALLY cool, and you guys should check it out.
Also, I heard rumors of 1.2 coming out tomorrow. Any proof to back up this theory?

My gut instinct is that it won't. The latest 1.2 snapshot was a bit unstable for a variety of people, and just the fact that they're using a new world-data system gives me little reason to believe it will be out so soon.
'Course, my gut instinct has been known to be faulty, from time to time.

i tried it on SMP with a friend.. when we died though we spawned in the void... so we couldn't play anymore...

I'm glad to see bug improvements, so 1.2 may be coming out sooner, but they may have overdone it with the iron gollums.

My guess is we're still a snapshot or two away from 1.2. What with all the focus on villagers, it wouldn't surprise me to see some "hurt" sounds for them (sounds that a mob makes when they are attacked). The iron golem could use some sounds as well, some really clunky-chunk-chunk sounds. But yes, I believe 1.2 is somehwere in the near future.
