Ah right...my bad Ferret I just thought that was all. Anywho I need help finding the best possible moves for my Quagsire and Audino. I think Audino isn't a great attacker but a good supportive pokemon. Also what attacks would be best for Quagsire? Help would be good and thanks. happy.

*Looking up Quagsire on Bulbapedia*

By the way, do you think Sassy is a good nature for Magcargo? It's not like it'd be able to outrun something by raising it's speed.

EDIT:
Notably, Quagsire's only good stat is HP (in fact, it only has 5 more speed than Magcargo), although it's Atk. and Def. are decent . Luckily, it's only weakness is Grass, which, unfortunately is a 4X weakness. It would probably tag team nicely with a Poison-type.

For one, anything that learns Earthquake should have it on it's moveset, Quagsire is not an exception. This is also probably it's only good STAB move.

Yawn may also be useful to force Grass-types to switch out. Attract is an alternative, although it only works on Poke'mon of the opposite gender.

Amnesia raises it's Special Def., a useful trait when dealing with mainly Special Grass-types.

Blizzard or Ice Beam is a must for dealing with Grass-types, or pretty anything else for that matter. If you're pre Gen V you'll have to sacrifice a TM, but I think it'd be worth it.

If you want you could also teach it Giga Impact, or maybe a good Water STAB move (Aqua Tail would be great, if it can learn it).

You may also want to Baton Pass Agility for Speed, although, it probably won't help much. Shell Smash is also an alternative Baton Pass. Quiver Dance would probably be the most useful Baton Pass, however.

(Gelo, you're better than me at this, does this sound alright?)

Magcargo is terrible in every way, mostly because of its awful typing. I suggest finding something else.

As for Quagsire, it's not that good either. Swampert and Seismitoad both outclass it. However, if you really want to use one, then fine. You're absolutely right about Earthquake. It's an amazing move and it should never be overlooked. Yawn is good for forcing switches, but only if you have a reason to, such as passing status conditions or racking up entry hazard damage.

Also, when using a water/ground type, you shouldn't even be considering countering Grass types. First of all, grass isn't the best type so people won't be using them that often. However, if you do come across a pokemon with grass-type moves, you want to get out of there so you're not instantly KOd. especially considering your poor special defense.

Don't use Giga Impact. It leaves you wide open, and you always have to have the opportunity to do something in the midst of battle. Besides, that much power is often unnecessary. You can use Return, which has 102 base power, or Double Edge, which has 120 base power.

Shell Smash is the absolute best move for a sweeper. It raises every stat by two stages except defensive stats, which aren't necessary to sweep. Huntail and Gorebyss can use Baton Pass with shell smash to help another pokemon sweep.

As for Audino, forget about it. There are way better options out there for support. Blissey does a nice job at using Aromatherapy to heal its team, and can also dish out statuses to the opposing team.

I don't even know what you're talking about. Sure, Magcargo has a cool design, but think of all the other cool fire-types out there (in pokedex order):

- Charizard
- Arcanine
- Moltres
- Typhlosion
- Houndoom
- Entei
- Blaziken
- Camerupt
- Infernape
- Magmortar
- Heat Rotom
- Heatran
- Victini
- Emboar
- Simisear
- Darmanitan
- Chandelure
- VOLCARONA

Seriously, that's a lot to choose from. I'm sure you can find a good design somewhere in there. Of those pokemon, these are the best ones:

- Blaziken: if you get your hands on one with Speed Boost, you're all set. It's just incredible. Just don't use it in competitive battles unless you're doing uber, since it's banned.

- Infernape: can do mixed attacking due to perfectly balanced attacking stats. Also good at setting up entry hazards, makes a great lead.

- Magmortar: one of my faves, has excellent Special Attack. I mean, come on, he's got CANNONS on his arms. How much more powerful can you get?

- Heatran: give him an Air Balloon. If your foe dares to pop it, they'll already have sacrificed one of their pokemon due to Heatran's amazing power.

- Darmanitan: insane attack + Sheer Force + Flare Blitz + Life Orb = oh my god. This thing is amazing, and I just love it. Sheer Force and Flare Blitz eliminates the Life Orb recoil, by the way.

- Volcarona: my absolute favorite fire type, and second favorite pokemon of all time. It's got incredible special attack, only helped by Quiver Dance. It can be a pain to train, but it's definitely worth it.

I don't like Darmanitan.

I have a shiny Magcargo, but I think I might've traded it for a Shiny Poliwrath.

(prepare for rant)

You should like Darmanitan. It's incredible. Have you seen its base attack? 140. That's incredible. It's more than Garchomp, if that helps you understand at all. Do you know what the ability Sheer Force does? It increases the power of a move by 33% if it has an added effect. Darmanitan is lucky enough to learn the move Flare Blitz, which has an astounding 120 base power. It also happens to have a 10% chance of burning on contact. So with Sheer Force, that brings its base power to exactly 159.6. There's also an item called Life Orb which increases a move's power by 30%, but gives 10% recoil when a move is used. With Life Orb, that brings the move's power up to exactly 207.48. That's just incredible. More than Selfdestruct, in fact. But get this: the recoil from Flare Blitz completely negates the recoil from Life Orb, so it's like you're getting that extra power for free. Oh yeah, and since Darmanitan is a Fire type, Flare Blitz gets STAB, which is 50%. That brings the move up to 311.22, more than 50 points MORE than Explosion. Coming off 140 base Attack, that's an instant OHKO on just about everything.

And that's all you need to know about Darmanitan.

I'm not a competitive battler, some people chose pokemon on how they look. I chose Osawott because I thought it was cutest, and in Diamond I chose Piplup because it wss the cutest of the Sinnoh starters.

Each generation introduces a rodent-type pokemon, usually electric-type, to help advertise the generation. They're trying to play on the attention that Pikachu got. First gen was Pikachu, second gen was either Pichu or Marill, third gen was Plusle and Minun, fourth gen was Pachirisu, and fifth was Emolga.

Okay, i admit, Chandelure is pretty epic.

Anyway, I take back what I said about Magcargo being my favorite Fire-type (that's not a starter or a legendary), yes, Magcargo is epic, but he just can't compete with Heatmor.

Only problem is, Heatmor has pretty bad stats... his Special Attack is decent, but Speed it pretty terrible. In addition, defenses are pretty thin, so it can't rely on bulk to power up.

Chandelure can be really good. If you like, you can use Flame Charge to boost its subpar speed. You could also give it Choice Scarf, which would have the same effect except you're not sacrificing a turn. However, power is very important as well. I would highly suggest using a Calm Mind set, which might look something like this:

Chandelure @ Leftovers
Flash Fire
Timid Nature
4 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe
- Flamethrower
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Calm Mind

If I do use Chandelure I will probably use that set. But I'm not sure if I want to use Chandelure, I don't need another Special Glass Tank (no pun intended), and you're not going to talk me out of using Beheeyem, it's the first non-legendary pure-psychic type that I like that can learn more than one move. It's also my second favorite psychic type altogether, after Natu/Xatu (and they have horrid stats).

EDIT: why chose Energy Ball instead of Solar Beam? I'm going to get a Drought Ninetales for Victreebel anyway.

Solarbeam can be seriously messed up if someone else is using weather. If someone brings in rain, sandstorm, or hail, then it takes an extra turn of charging to fire. Energy ball is more reliable, but if you're not too worried about that, then go ahead.

Also, Glass Tank is an oxymoron. Glass Cannons are defensively weak pokemon that do a ton of damage, and tanks have solid defenses so they are meant to take hits.

As for Beheeyem, it's not a bad choice. It's sort of like an inferior Trick Room Reuniculs. It's inferior because Reuniclus is bulky enough to survive a turn of set-up. There's a POTW article on him, if you want to do further research: http://www.serebii.net/potw-bw/606.shtml

As for Xatu, it's not useless at all. Give it a Flame Orb and teach it Psycho Shift. Once it gets burned, it can pass the burn on to someone else. It's like Will-o-wisp, except accurate.

Beheeyem has sufficient defenses to set up Trick Room by himself. However, Reuniclus does pretty much the same job, except with more bulk. I would personally suggest using Reuniclus, but it's really up to you.
