Forum changes

After a long, long user conversation. We have decided to make some very large changes to the forum to set it straight. Here is a list:

Moderators

Glasspinne and Gelatino95 have been removed from their moderator positions for questionable effectiveness. Jat371 and Aurikine are under consideration to take their place for prior experience in forum moderation. Drew is also under consideration. Shadow as also been added as a moderator

Rules

We are adopting a less strict set of rules, and investing into our moderator team to control the users if need be. You will see rule changes in the future

Admins

As we all know, Camelfox will be leaving at some point. This means that I will need 2 new administrators to take Camels and goobers' place. The best canidates as of now are Shadow and 3DBlenderRender. However, users can still run in the future election. Only time will tell

Off topic and spam sections

The off topic section is here to stay, but the spam section is now being removed. Sorry people, it's what you wanted

All of these changes, and more will hopefully set the GAC straight. I am terribly sorry to the former moderators, but I need to make some changes to make this forum as good as it used to be. and I hope you will continue to be dedicated members.

Lazer, I was appointed for for multiple reasons from almost everyone in the chat.

Updates for tonight: Have added the "Chat moderator" group so it's easier to identify those users. I'll do more tomorrow, I'm very tired.

wow, lots of bold changes. apologies for not being on as often, I think with the semester coming to a close I'll have more time. question about the chatbox though: wouldn't it be too easy to identity-theft someone?

Sorry dark, as I said. Had to overhaul the moderation team and set this stuff straight. If we can finally change this place for the better, the older moderators will probably earn their rights back

I'm not sure what you mean. But The identity theft thing, if you mean changing your name to look like someone else is probably not possible, well it is. But it's pretty easy to distinguish a fake from the actual person.

You can't copy somebody's exact name. If you try to change your name to an existing name, it won't let you. Don't ask me how I know this ;)

Speaking of changes, we should try to fix the "Ban" glitch.. By using it to try to help It got me BANNED from chat...we don't need that hanging around....It's tempting and wrong...

I think change is nice. I'm not trying to be rude but, why did you choose Jat? He's mostly inactive and doesn't post.

He has Mod experince and wants the right for GAC. He will though get active and will start posting.

Me and Jat both have quite a bit of experience with moderating. I am sure now that he was chosen he will be a lot more active.
