| Thanks Kitty, that oughta be useful. Update on the server situation: Plague hasn't been able to get a server up and running for The Hidden, so that leaves us with a couple of options: 1. We take a chance and see if there's an empty and non-lagged-to-heck public server, and flood it en masse, leaving no space for randomers to join — standard server cap is 9 and we have 8 people, so I can rope in my sibling's account to fill the extra space easily enough, but Sataurday night is busy, I don't know what our chances of finding an appropriate server are. 2. We play a different game: The second and third place games were Space Station 13 and Dungeon Defenders. Dungeon Defenders would require that three of us acquire and install the game in the next three hours to be ready before time. Alternatively, I have a Space Station 13 server running. RSVP ASAP, people! | |

| I'm a bit more inclined to say that we should try and cram a server on the Hidden. If we try that for half an hour and can't get it to work, then we can default to SS13. | |

| I have a feeling the main limiting factor on flooding a Hidden server will be making sure we have everyone aboard an hour and 35 minutes from now. >.< | |

| The time we were planning on isn't THAT soon, is it? You said 10PM GMT, and it looks like it's around 7PM GMT right now. | |

| Phew; I actually had my doubts we'd manage but in the end Operation: Flood A Random Hidden Server was a resounding success. Now, in light of the way this whole affair has unfolded I think some revisions and discussions are in order: —Firstly, we need to be prepared and on time. We eventually started about an hour after the planned time (which was three-and-a-half hours ago) but, as expected, people started dropping off past midnight GMT, so we didn't get quite as much time with everyone on as we might have. If anyone's unsure where they stand in relation to GMT, or would like to suggest an alternative time for the 2h 30 slot, please speak up! —Secondly, we need to get a solid policy on games wot r needz teh moniez and games with a cap on player counts: having two lobbies and switching people around feels like something that might work for Dungeon Defenders (Humble Bundle still going for two more days get it get it) but I'm not certain how we might manage, say, Left 4 Dead 2 between 8 or more people — the time between rounds is more spaced than in DD. Might work for Alien Swarm though. I'd love some suggestions! —Third, I'm making the Grand-Prix style voting system the new standard; everyone pick a top six when you place your votes! —Finally one more question: Should we let a game we've just played into the voting this week? My gut feeling is that we should, and that if the general feeling is that we don't want to repeat ourselves we'll show it by not voting for the same game, but I'd like some input. EDIT: Also we ought to have a backup game ready to roll in case our main one doesn't pan out.

If people are open to it, we could try Versus mode in L4D2, where four people are the survivors, and four take on the roles of special infected. We could do campaign or scavenge, and best of all, it's easy to set up a lobby. :P As for the game we've just played thing, we could, but my guess is people aren't very likely to choose the same game unless we all had a bunch of fun the previous week. But yeah, I think that's fine.

| That actually sounds pretty interesting, if rather challenging for the inexperienced (amongst whom I count myself ._.). I've updated the OP with a number of things, including the annotated games list from page 2. | |

| That sounds like a cool idea, Drago. I'll be able to grab you guys with my tongue and yank you into zombie hordes C:<
The only think I suggest though is that we agree on a time in advance instead of saying "gais everyone open the game we're going now". Kinda hard to go online when you aren't conscious. P:

| Sup everybody! I would like to join up so add me to the list.
As for games? I really don't have any suggestions, the only multiplayer games I play other than the ones posted here are on Xbox (Halo 4, Halo Reach, Halo Wars), and I'm sure I'm one of the only ones here who has one.

| Hi DarkStar, thanks for joining us last night. Take a gander at the list of games on the OP if you've not got your own suggestions, maybe google any that catch your eye — you can post a top-six whenever you like between now and Friday. | |

| Okay, just like last week I'd like to collect votes before the end of Thursday; here's my list: 1. Toribash 2. Alien Swarm 3. NMRIH 4. Zombie Panic Source 5. Rig of Rods 6. Space Station 13 Toribash and Alien Swarm take the top slots on account of being easy to set up and play, and rotating players between two or three Alien Swarm games should be relatively easy — with 9 people we can have three games of three people, or with eight we get two full games. Toribash is a lot of fun; if you aren't familiar with it there's some info and links on the OP of the Multiplayer Games thread. Alien Swarm, for those who haven't played, is a free game from the makers of Left 4 Dead, and takes a similar sort of gameplay from a top-down perspective in a sci-fi setting. I actually enjoy it more than L4D2 most of the time. If nothing else, either of those games would make a good backup. SS13: I was so happy when I finally got my server to work, and then so annoyed when it stopped working perfectly. Currently it's not co-operating, but the moment it does, bam — top of the list. | |

| 1. NMRIH 2. L4D2 (Versus/Mutation mode) 3. Alien Swarm 4. Toribash (May have to get some practice in) 5. Hidden 6. SS13
EDIT: Scratch my previous list. I took a look at No More Room in Hell and I want.

| Last day for voting; Darkshadow, Ferrety, DarkStar, get in 'ere. Space Station 13 update: Last night I, Eps and Tala played on my server without any trouble, though my sibling, who is on the same network as me, consistently failed to connect. Based on that, I'd like to conduct a wider test before declaring all systems are go; anyone who could be online on Steam between 4pm and 11pm GMT today to help out would be a great help. | |

| I reccon someone needs to find a way to code one of those clock widgets into this thread so we can find GMT times more easily.
The only ones I can find are HTML though. :C
