| Quick question about the system - is 0 a hit or a miss, or up to the GM? For example, character 1 & 2 have identical WAR and SPD statistics/characteristics, so the total (C1WAR+C1SPD)-(C2WAR+C2SPD) comes to 0.

| If the hit and evade scores are equal, it's a hit — I added a note in the Combat section of the OP a while ago, but I may not have mentioned doing so. |

| I've got a few questions about the Lacuna, mainly concerning weaponry. In the last NR the players picked out a weapon for the ship. Is that still equipped? Also, there was apparently supposed to be some missing spot on the map of the ship where the turret was. What about that? (I've got nothing specific to ask about it, just wanted the rundown) |

| You're right — we have five EMP torpedoes, which are aimed manually from the cockpit, and a manned turret on the side, which I have opted to place off Engineering: |

| Just a quick question: if my character is going to explore ahead into territories that could be plot-critical, do I get to decide what's over there, or is it something that you're supposed to decide, Delta, since you're kind of the leader here? |

| I'll describe what you see, all I need you to do is describe your own action — that is, getting in the air and flying over the area. It seems like a bit of a triviality, but I'd otherwise have felt I was taking control of your character by skipping right to the description in my last post. |

| All right, glad that's cleared up. |

| What's the difference between blasting a hole in the fence and ripping one, and why is the latter more quiet?
EDIT: I've solved that myself, so now the question is more one of 'Do the combat stats have to apply to this gate shooting malarkey?' |

| Of course it does. As you may know, the oriental moving-fence-leaping-tiger technique is used by many gates, and has caught many novice marksmen by surprise. Some tales tell of gates so agile their movement is invisible to the human eye. |

| That fence had 50 Inv and 97 War, there was no way you could have destroyed it. >:U Gate falls on Flank. Hit 97, Dmg 20 [electric].Really though, I'd prefer not to get bogged down in combat with static objects, unless we run across an especially interesting one. EDIT: Also heads-up, this is where things get a bit experimental. Don't be surprised if I decide to change things on the fly. >.> |

| I kinda feel stupid about having Flank spread his wings to hear the electric hum and make a superstitious guess that it was electric, only after which did I read back and find out that you wrote about a sign that warned against electricity and dogs. Obviously Flank is sign-blind. |

| For the dogs, does the '((Hit: 32, Damage: 21))' mean that's what it'll take to hit them/overcome their inv, or is that how easily they hit you/how much damage they do?
Edit: Also, should we calculate and post accordingly? I.E. I post that I attack and hit, or simply post that I attack and the owner of the character must post he/she/it is hit? And lastly, are we to assume the dogs are close enough that we're all suffering a -30 or so mitigation? Sorry to be a pain, just didn't want to post anything wrong in the IC that'd have to be removed/edited. |

| I'm guessing they have a +20 Sneak Attack bonus...? Or is that only a factor for PC's? |

| @3D: Razo has the right idea. The Hit and Damage numbers were for the attack made on his character: The idea is to keep the posting style of the original NR, but have the numbers guide the outcomes. On the mitigations: Currently you would be at a -30 to attack the hound that just attacked Knightmare, but the other has not yet closed to melee range.
@Razo: NPCs can have any of the bonuses and mitigations a player can. Also, unless you can reason how you use your sword to evade the attack, you should not include its War bonus in your Evade score.
That said, if you struck out with the blade to stop the hound biting into your leg — by swinging the sword at its mouth — that would contribute to your ability to evade the attack and constitute a counter-attack — you would use the same number for your dodge and hit numbers. The upshot of this is that the numbers in your post essentially don't change, but to pull it off you would need to describe the motion a bit differently. I'll add a this to the Combat section of the OP. |
